1st Volunteer Orientation: SLC Sanctuary Solidarity Network

People of faith from any congregation as well as secular grassroots organizations are welcome!!! Learn everything you need to know about the Sanctuary Movement in Salt Lake City to become a volunteer! We will discuss what has changed recently in immigration policy necessitating protection of the undocumented, what sanctuary means and doesn't mean, and how we are going to make this work in Salt Lake City. Childcare will be provided.

The newly formed SLC Sanctuary Solidarity Network will be hosting its first orientation for individual volunteers on Sunday October 15, 2-4 PM, at Christ United Methodist Church at 2375 E 3300 S, Salt Lake City. Child care will be provided. We have begun a local network for providing sanctuary for undocumented immigrants at imminent risk of being deported, and we need many individual volunteers to join us. Sanctuary has a long tradition in western society. Learn everything you need to know about our Sanctuary Movement in Salt Lake City to become a volunteer!
